Dr. Zuhair Ibrahim

Dr. Zuhair Ibrahim is the principal consultant at Ibrahim & Associates. He is an expert in thermal/mechanical devices and industrial equipment where he applies mechanical engineering, thermodynamic, and fluid dynamic principles to the investigation of Loss of Containment events and large loss fires and explosions. He has conducted process safety, risk assessment, design, and performance reviews for a range of equipment in industrial, transportation, consumer equipment, and appliances, and is experienced in evaluating site and equipment-specific procedures, including engineering and regulatory controls designed to mitigate or prevent such events.

Dr. Ibrahim is also an adjunct lecturer for the University of Southern California’s Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering Department, where he teaches Heat Transfer and Thermal Systems Design.

Dr. Ibrahim earned his Ph. D. in Aerospace Engineering from UC San Diego and his MS in Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Outside of work, Dr. Ibrahim enjoys sailing, scuba diving, and chess. He volunteers when possible as a judge on US Chess tournaments
